Sydney (Part 1)
I've been in this wonderful city for 4 days. The weather has been so welcoming. Considering it's winter, its been a warm and sunny couple of days so far with an average temperature of 20°c .
I have been eating heaps - yumchaed at a chinese restaurant, pigged out on seafood at the FishMarket, and the fine dining restaurants here are fantastic - we've got a booking at Tetsuya's.
What i found so beautiful about Sydney is how everything is so near the water, and how there is vast spaces of grenery everywhere. To get into the city from where i'm staying, i've got to take a 10 minute stroll past the Domain park and the Royal Botanic Garden. It is heartwarming to see people out and about running, taking walks, playing ballgames and lazing on the lawns enjoying lunch in the sunshine.
Certain things and parts of Sydney remind me so much of life in Melbourne. Such as the little shops and restaurants, the seagulls, the grenery, the fluctuating petrol prices and (this i almost forgot!) the window-washing service at traffic lights. And, oh yeah, the shopping! I'll save the shopping for another blog entry.
It's all been so far bonbons superbes.
